Why Can’t All WordPress Plugin Developers KISS?
October 26, 2007
This is my RANT on WordPress Plugin Developers and consistent programming development. Now I know that most plugin developers are not making much money from their efforts, but I say, “If you’re going through the effort of creating a plugin, why not do it right?”
My rant is not against all Developers, just the lazy and inexperienced ones. You know, the ones who develop a plugin that when installed doesn’t work correctly or causes problems with your blog because of plugin coding clashes or doesn’t work as advertised (they modified it for a new release of WordPress, but it doesn’t quite work).
I have looked at and used a lot of plugins because, as Vince says, I am a “plugin junkie”. If there is a plugin tool out there that will make my life easier … I am going to try it. My experience in all of this is that I have seen some great, consistent, and reliable work by some very good programmers.

Maybe your blog is even wearing a super hot pink thong. What a racy blog that would be! Now really, I should add an image of the item in question, as you may have noticed I’m actually struggling not to over saturate this article with our keyphrase. I could easily whack another instance of the keyphrase in the first sentence of this paragraph, but I am being a good boy. Read more

One of the best ways to get traffic to your blog is by targeting key phrases which people search for in Google. The Bloggers Code Of Ethics - Reviewing Products
October 19, 2007
The first of a multi-part series on the bloggers code of ethics, this article will discuss reviewing products. I was going to start with a little article about integrity and credibility, however I found myself taking this whole article in a new direction. So in refocussing, let me cut to the chase.
In order to write reviews which people will value, you need to have built some credibility; otherwise your reviews are as good as a blank piece of cyber paper. So assuming you have some credibility, how do you maintain it?
You really have to be impartial to write a good review. And the way you write your posts, needs to sound impartial. My code of ethics doesn’t say “tell the truth, always!” and reading my code of ethics, you will quickly learn it’s not really about ethics. Read more
