The Future of Google Trends.

Not a particularly elegant first post, but an important one regardless.
Google announced that Trends will now be updated daily, instead of monthly. With Trends becoming more important for keyword research, this relatively minor update will further help to improve existing research methods giving you more accurate numbers and better graphs.
This little update massively increases the cpu-cycles required by trends, and it suggests that Google is likely to invest more time and resources into improving the trends application. I expect we will see more updates to Google trends in the next 6-12 months, keep your eyes peeled because we might start seeing real search numbers. Or am I dreaming?
I can’t help but speculate that Google is gearing up to offer a premium trends service. If such a service were to come on the market, the data Google has at its fingertips would blow the competition out of the water. Billions of data points collected from a 50% market sample is more than sufficient for extremely accurate statistical data.
